Human Eye Color Chart
Human Eye Color Chart. Green eyes are often listed as being dominant over blue eyes. You've probably seen an eye color chart like the one above.
Eye colors can be many different shades of: Amber, which some people describe as copper, gold or very light brown. The most common eye colors found in individuals across the world is brown. Brown is said to be a color that is associated with the earth, which means people with brown eyes tend to be close with nature and aren't too attached to material goods.
Eye colors can range from pale blue to dark brown that looks black.
Some eyes also have flecks or spots of darker or lighter colors mixed in.
There is a pigment known as melanin present in your iris which produces your eye color. This is due to the fact that many words for color were taken from the everyday life of people. People with light eye colors (such as blue, gray, red/pink) don't have enough melanin to absorb much of light from the photographic flash, hence they are more likely to have red eyes on their pictures.
