Italian Olive Oil Cake. Add your flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, mix together the eggs and the sugar.
Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of batter. Place a circle of parchment in the bottom. Whisk together the eggs and sugar in a medium-sized bowl until well blended.
In a large mixing bowl sift together the our, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and baking soda.
In the stand mixer, add sugar and olive oil, until well combined.
Add oil in a slow, steady stream, beating until combined. In the bowl of an electric mixer set on high, beat the sugar, eggs. When well blended add the oil, milk, lemon juice and zest and mix well.
